Why choose Get Set Go English?
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by grammar rules, struggled to find the right words, or lost confidence when speaking, you’re in the right place.
Clear and logical learning
I make learning English simple and structured. You'll learn step-by-step with clear explanations that help you understand how English works. No confusing rules, just confidence, clarity and real progress.
Friendly and focused lessons
I'm a bit of a grammar nerd (in a good way!). I love finding patterns in English and creating easy-to-use resources that help you learn faster. But don't worry, I keep things fun and friendly too, so learning never feels like a chore.
Teaching that really works
My lessons focus on deep learning for long-term success. You'll get clear explanations, memorable examples, and space to ask questions.
My students say I'm motivating, relatable, and a little strict.
The long story
My path into teaching wasn’t exactly traditional, but every step has shaped how I teach today.

It began with a languages degree at university and some fantastic experiences living abroad. After graduation, I worked in the manufacturing industry as a business analyst, where I picked up valuable business and project management skills. That role led me into in-company training, where I first discovered my passion for teaching.
After completing the Cambridge CELTA qualification, I taught in both the UK and abroad. Later, I took on a senior teaching role and then became a course coordinator, an experience that let me bring together both my teaching and management strengths.

Since then, I’ve worked with many schools, companies, and teachers. I've been self-employed for more than 10 years now, and over that time, I’ve refined my courses, materials, and teaching methods to reflect everything I’ve learned along the way.

I live in the UK and run Get Set Go English from my home in the beautiful Shropshire countryside.
I love systems and organisation - probably more than is normal. I believe in all things logical and methodical.

I am passionate about travelling, road trips, and exploring new places. There's something grounding about feeling small in a big world.
I love trivia and quizzes, but to really keep my brain in check, I go for walks, do yoga, and swim.
