How to teach phrasal verbs
Thursday 12th November 7pm (UK time) - FREE
What to expect:
Phrasal verbs can be confusing to teach, especially when you’re not always sure how they work yourself. In this free live session, we’ll look at the language and teaching principles you need to feel more confident teaching phrasal verbs to your students. What we’ll cover: • The five golden rules for teaching phrasal verbs • How to recognise phrasal verbs and distinguish them from prepositional verbs • When phrasal verbs can be separated and when they can’t • How to use pronouns correctly with different types of multi-word verbs • Practical ways to explain these patterns clearly to your students • How to help students move from recognising phrasal verbs to using them Who is this session for? This session is for non-native teachers of English and CLIL teachers who want to develop their own understanding of phrasal verbs and feel more confident teaching them. What will you take away? You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of how phrasal verbs work, a practical framework for teaching them, and ideas you can use in your own lessons. This session is completely free. You’ll need to register in advance and set aside time to attend the live session. There’s no preparation required.
